The right routine tracker for this time of year

Some routines start on a date, not on a whim: January 1, the first school day, the Monday after a holiday. These guides show how to set up EasyRoutine for the moment you are in, and what to expect from it.

Same app, different moment

EasyRoutine works the same way all year. You group things in a routine, add each habit or task as an activity, and log it when you did it, with the + Log button on the day or by tapping its planned entry. The calendar shows what happened, day by day, week by week and month by month, and your profile shows a streak of days with at least one log.

What changes with the moment is the setup:

  • A fresh start (New Year, a new gym membership, a new supplement stack): a few concrete activities, scheduled from a start date, with reminders on the days they are planned.
  • A new rhythm (back to school): weekday-only schedules with an active period that ends before the holidays.
  • A disruption (travel, a holiday break): keep logging where you can, adjust or split schedules around the dates, then use the month view to see the gap and restart.
  • A look back (late December): scroll back through the month views to see which habits stuck. There are no charts or yearly summaries; the calendar is the record.

How to pick a guide

Start from what you are trying to do this week. Setting something up for the first time? Read the New Year or back-to-school guide. Already set up but thrown off course? The holiday and travel guides cover keeping going and restarting. About to set next year's goals? Start with the year in review.

Two related guides live elsewhere: starting a new gym routine and tracking new supplements in the new year.

Logging, the calendar and the streak are free. Schedules and reminders, which most of these moments lean on, are part of Premium.

Every guide sticks to what the app actually does. EasyRoutine records that you did something and when, with an optional note and a red, amber or green flag. It does not measure amounts, give advice or work offline, and each guide says so where it matters.

Common questions

Can this help me keep a New Year's resolution?

Yes. Turn the resolution into a few activities, log each one in a few taps, and see on the calendar whether you kept it up. With Premium you can schedule them from January 1 and get reminders.

Is there a routine tracker for back-to-school?

EasyRoutine works for school routines: homework, lunchboxes and packing the bag as activities, scheduled on weekdays with Premium, with an end date before the holidays.

How do I get back into a routine after a holiday break?

Look at the month view to see where things slipped, restart one or two activities today, and rebuild the schedule step by step. Logging one thing today restarts your streak.

Can I keep up my routine while traveling?

Yes, whenever you have an internet connection, on any phone or iPad signed in to your account. EasyRoutine has no offline mode, but scheduled reminders still arrive offline and you can add logs afterwards.

Can I see a year-in-review of what I've logged?

You can review the year month by month in the month view, and the profile shows your current streak and total logs. There is no automatic yearly summary, chart or export.
