Using EasyRoutine for medication
The most common medication question is not about the drug, it is "did I already take it today?". EasyRoutine answers that with a log you can check in a second.
What it is good for
- Checking whether you took it. Log each dose and the day view shows it with the time.
- Not taking it twice. If it is already logged today, you already took it.
- Spotting missed days. Gaps in the week or month view are missed doses.
- Short courses. With Premium, give a 7-day antibiotic course a start and end date so it disappears when it ends.
Set it up
- Create a routine, for example Medication.
- Add each medicine as an activity. A photo of the box lets you log it by scanning.
- With Premium, schedule it for the time you take it and add a reminder. About reminders.
Late and missed doses
Took it later than usual? Log it and adjust the time to when you actually took it, and add a note if it matters. If you missed a dose, follow the advice that came with the medicine rather than anything in the app.
For carers
EasyRoutine is a personal app with one account per person; there is no sharing between accounts. A carer can keep their own routine for the person they look after and log each dose they give.
Common questions
Can I use EasyRoutine to remember my medication?
Yes, for everyday medication like a daily tablet: log each dose and check the calendar to see whether you took it. Reminders are part of Premium. It is not a medical device, so do not rely on it alone where a missed or double dose would be dangerous.
Is EasyRoutine a medical device?
No. It is a general routine tracker. It does not know about drugs, doses or interactions and gives no medical advice. Follow your doctor or pharmacist.
Can I record a late or missed dose?
Yes. Log the dose and adjust the time to when you actually took it, and add a note. A day with no log is a missed dose.
